Application Procedures

Who can register to take entrance exams?

•  People that meet the following requirements can register to take entrance exams for Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University at the Admissions Center:

•  Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and citizens of countries where secondary education diplomas are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic;

•  Students in their final year (11th year) of education at secondary education institutes and lycees;

•  Graduates of secondary education institutes and lycees;

•  Students at institutes of higher education.

Who cannot register for entrance exams at KTMU?

•  People who meet the following criteria cannot register for entrance exams at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University:

•  Citizens of the Republic of Turkey;

•  Citizens of countries where diplomas are not recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic;

•  Those who have been expelled from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University for a disciplinary violation.

Which documents are needed for registration?

•  The following documents are need to register for the entrance exam:

•  A copy of your diploma or certificate from your secondary educational institution;

•  Documentation confirming completion of secondary education, for those applying before diplomas are released;

•  Passport and copy of passport;

•  2 photographs (3 cm x 4 cm), taken in the last 3 months;

•  Payment is accepted during registration. The entrance exam costs 300 som, and English testing costs 300 som. 

For citizens of the Republic of Turkey

Students from Turkey are admitted according to their ÖSYM exam results. Students from Turkey are admitted according to quotas set every year by the administration of KTMU and published by the Admissions Center, which are set according to the scores and preferences of the students. 

 

International Students

Students of other countries are admitted according to their results on the exam offered by the Admissions Center. For students of Turkic countries, these exams are held by the Admissions Center in Turkey. 

Admissions requirements for international students:

Documents are accepted from July 1st through August 23rd, 2017. 

Entrance exams for students from CIS countries will be held on August 24th, 2017, starting at 10:00 in the Faculty of Economics and Management. 

Students must present the following documents to register for the exams:

• Copy of diploma with attached transcript noting which classes were taken and which grades were given (with notarized translation into English or Russian, if needed);

• Passport copy:

• A statement addressed to the Rector;

• 2 photographs (3 cm x 4 cm), taken in the last 3 months;

The applicant's average grade should be no lower than 3.5 out of 5 or 70 out of 100. 

Citizens of countries with visa-free regimes to the Kyrgyz Republic can either send application materials via mail or can come to Bishkek to submit them in person. 

Foreign citizens without visa-free regimes to the Kyrgyz Republic can send documents via email ( iro@manas.edu.kg ). Include "Application for Study" as the email subject. 

Upon acceptance, KTMU will send the necessary documents for a study visa to the Kyrgyz consulate in the applicant's home country (for those who need a visa). 

•  Those with "kairylman" status (ethnic Kyrgyz living abroad or with foreign citizenship who voluntarily return to Kyrgyzstan and renounce foreign citizenship) do not count towards the quota of applicants from Turkic countries.
